Berne, Switzerland, October 19, 2018: Elusive Sound is delighted to announce the release of Glasir’s debut album “New Dark Age” on vinyl.
Recorded by Sam Striker at Native Darkness Productions, “New Dark Age” is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2015 EP “Unborn”, the very first Elusive Sound release. This incredible 3-piece from Dallas, Texas, have crafted a powerfully evocative album where their heavy siege cannon is unleashed and blasts us into a blackened world, where sound resonates in decayed city shells and life submerges in stagnant pools of death. We are one with the shadows hidden midst the smoke hung in a haze that ascends hollow towering walls of steel. It obscures a blood red sun we cannot see yet feel it’s oppressive heat searing down like the breath of hell. This is our tomorrow, a new dark age.

Mastered by Randy Cordner at Beast Mansion and featuring full artwork by renowned illustrator AlexCF “New Dark Age” will be released on two different one-time only 180g+ vinyl variants named Algal Bloom and Incandescence.
Cut from 24-bit masters at 33RPM on special A-Side – B-Side vinyl with Splatter, both editions feature a 350gsm gatefold outer sleeve on reverse-board, dark red hot-foiled band name on gatefold front, flood black printing on the inside of the gatefold-sleeve, a 20x20cm sized artprint inlay with golden foil print on heavy weight black paper and an A7 inlay with golden foil print on heavy weight black paper with handwritten download code.
The Incandescence variant is a numbered deluxe edition that features an additional 12″-sized Swiss made and handnumbered golden screenprint on heavy weight black paper. Incandescence is limited to 100 copies and Algal Bloom is limited to 150 copies. Neither will ever be repressed.
New Dark Age Vinyl Pre-Order starts Friday, October 26 at 8 PM / 20:00 CEST (Zurich). The release will be on November 16, 2018.
