Berne, Switzerland, October 8, 2020: Elusive Sound proudly presents “The All-devouring”, the debut album of post-black metal powerhouse Somn on vinyl.
“The All-devouring” will be released on two one-time only 180g+ vinyl variants named Exsanguination and Phantasm.
Mastered by Mikhail Kurochkin and cut from 24-bit masters at 33RPM on mixed colour, splatter vinyl, both variants are presented in a heavy gatefold outersleeve featuring the stunning artwork of Mladen Ilic.
Exsanguination is a deluxe edition limited to just 100 copies. 50 copies are available with a stunning set of art prints which are exclusive only to this edition and will never again be available. The artwork is provided on 290gsm heavyweight silk paper, which is of archival quality, and housed in a protective envelope. This exclusive artwork is hand-numbered to 50 copies, and printed locally in Berne, Switzerland.
The Exsanguination edition is also available without the art prints. Both options come with special, hot-foiled inlay and download code.The “Phantasm” Edition is limited to 150 units. This edition also includes a special, hot-foiled inlay download code.

Based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and featuring members of notable underground acts such as Show Me A Dinosaur and TRNA, Somn [from Somnus – god of sleep] create mesmerising and unrestrained music of a conceptual nature, seamlessly merging extreme metal genres with instrumental rock.
Conceptually the album is about how we transport into our dreams what we experience when we are awake and how we set free in a realm where all is possible our traumas, deepest fears, premonitions, fury and thoughts of vengeance. “The All-devouring” is a pulverising album, revealing an incredibly physical, dynamic and brutal sounding band, meshing venomous and relentless intensity with monster hooks and haunting melodies.

They fuel the anxiety that keeps us hypervigilant and awake at night and the kind of animal fear that consumes us as we reluctantly fall asleep.
